Vijai Pasupuleti obtained his PhD in Biochemistry from National Chemical Laboratory, India and moved to Vanderbilt University, TN in 1986 where he conducted research on the metabolism of polyunsaturated fatty acids. Along with his team members Dr. Pasupuleti discovered a novel metabolite of arachidonic acid and published in Biochemical and Biophysical Research Communications.
Throughout his career, Dr. Pasupuleti has successfully managed several multi-disciplinary research projects. His work has been cited in prestigious scientific journals (Chemistry and Industry, Laboratory News); published in internationally reputed journals (Biotechnology and Bioengineering, Applied Biochemistry and Biotechnology, Process Biochemistry, Enzyme and Microbial Technology, Biotechnology Letters, etc.); as book chapters (Commercial Fermentations and their nutritional needs). He has edited two books, one by Springer publishers and the other by IFT Press & Blackwell Publishers, and applied for two patents.
In 2000 Dr. Pasupuleti founded SAI International, IL to promote research, consulting and marketing for nutraceutical, pharmaceutical and biotechnology companies.
