PepSoyGen is a new generation functional peptide made from solid-state fermentation of high protein soybean meal, manufactured by Nutraferma in South Dakota, USA.

Since 2002 Genebiotech Co., Ltd. of Korea has manufactured PepSoyGen, a high-quality peptide protein ingredient for young animal diets, employing their SMPT process (Small Molecular Peptide Technology). Nutra-Flo has partnered with Genebiotech to offer this exciting new product to North America, Eurpoe, and South America.

The concept behind PepSoyGen comes from a Korean tradition of fermented food products that dates back thousands of years. The fermentation process is used to improve flavoring and increase the availability of nutrients in the finished product. Many staples of the Korean diet include foods that have undergone some sort of fermentation process, such as kimchi (spiced fermented cabbage) or doenjang (fermented soybean paste).

PepSoyGen was developed using fermentation technology to create a functional, soy-based peptide product ideal for inclusion as a primary protein source for young animal diets. University trials have demonstrated that piglets fed PepSoyGen performed equally or better than other commonly used feed ingredients.
