Newsletter- October 2007 Nutra-Flo Protein and Biotech Products released a new Tech Bulletin this month for the product PepSoyGen. Tech Bulletin 49 (pdf) summarizes laboratory assays conducted by Dr. Sung Woo Kim of Texas Tech University in 2003 to determine the effects of solid state fermentation on the chemical and biological properties of high protein soybean meal. Results indicating increases in protein and fat content and a decrease in the level of trypsin inhibitor were all statistically significant. We are very pleased to welcome a new distributor to our international market. Aditagro has joined our team to distribute DPS 50RD in Ecuador. Infrastructure upgrades at the DPS production plant have led to record production numbers in August and September, keeping pace with a swiftly growing market for high quality animal proteins. With more upgrades planned for October, we’re not done setting records yet this year. Nutra-Flo Protein and Biotech’s brand new, much expanded laboratory opened its doors in August. The new facilities offer a greater range of in house product testing and more opportunities to run bench tests on new products and formulations. The Nutraferma plant gained a concrete foundation and the beginning of its steel frame in August and September. The project is a joint effort between Nutra-Flo and Genebiotech, with specialized equipment arriving from Korea as the building continues to rise at Flynn Business Park in North Sioux City, SD. Included below are some new pictures of the construction site:
