The Airport Security Dance

Besides taking off your shoes and your coat, emptying your pockets and removing the beltclip holding your mobile phone, you have to take your laptop out of its case and put it on the belt.

Well, not for long.

The TSA has now approved a special bag design that allows the laptop to stay in its place while going through X-Ray. Dozens of manufacturers are lined up to make the new bags which are expected to hit store shelves in September.

Having done this "dance" three times in the last 72 hours, I am looking forward to the 10 seconds it will save me going through Airport Security.  That's 10 more seconds to enjoy a cup of coffee waiting for the delayed flight that inevitably follows.
