Natufermen®
The purified fungi isolated and extracted from fermented soybeans is utilized to make the direct-fed microbial, Natufermen. The mixture of Aspergillus oryzae and Bacillus subtilis in Natufermen, produces various secondary metabolites different from the original products of fermentation. These secondary products include: beneficial microbes; enzymes; organic acids; amino acids and nucleic acids.
Natufermen effectively reduces ammonia, amines, mercaptans and hydrogen sulfide emissions in poultry houses. Research has also shown that the inclusion of
Natufermen in the diets of laying hens improves egg weight and eggshell thickness. When included in the diets of lactating sows, Natufermen has been shown to reduce pre-weaning piglet mortality and reduce backfat loss in sows.
